The Trilbardou elevator factory was built under Napoleon III to supply the canal de l’Ourcq with water taken from the Marne. A classified monument, it is one of the most splendid examples of industrial heritage in France and a fine testimonial to technological evolution of the 19th century in the field of hydraulic energy use.
