Each year, museums and scientific actors open their doors during the night of the stars for astronomy enthusiasts. Professionals or neophytes come to observe the stars!

Some sites or parks will be open for you to enjoy this starry night with mediators who will guide you.

The Night of the Stars at the Air Museum on August 6

This is a not to be missed appointment with space : night observations and free activities at the Musée de l'Air are scheduled in the planetarium and outdoors.

Do you know the space hall and the rockets exposed? During this special night, come and observe the stars with a telescope and the naked eye on the tarmac of the Air and Space museum: the constellations of the Big Dipper and the Little Dipper, the triangle of summer nights that serves as a starting point to find the other stars.

The Air and Space Museum will be open on August 6, 2022 for the night of the stars. This year the astronauts are in the spotlight

  • 10:15pm-1:30am: Observations of the sky with a telescope and an astronomical telescope from the tarmac of the museum to see Jupiter and Saturn and depending on the weather.
  • 23h, 0h, 0h30, 1h : Observation of the sky with the naked eye and a mediator (duration 15 mn)
  • In the shoes of an astronaut: various animations
    - 6:30 pm, 8 pm, 11 pm: Screening of the film "Dans les yeux de Thomas Pesquet" + discussions with experts
    - from 6 pm to 1h30 pm : virtual reality experience
  • - 6pm to 1:30am : "my space dressing room" games
  • from 7pm to midnight : music - concert of the Sextet Brothers
  • from 6:00 pm to 1:30 am : photo-call "10 years of Curiosity

Other animations are planned for adults, teenagers, children: see the official website for the complete program 2022. For this event, the Air and Space Museum will exceptionally close its doors at 1am. The animations are accessible from 6 years old.

Small precision: you cannot enter the museum with your telescopes or personal astronomical material.

Stars 2022 in St Ouen - 93

Night of August 5 and 6, 2022 from 10 pm to midnight - The scientific association ATLAS of Saint-Ouen invites you to admire the stars with telescopes and sky maps. It's free! On registration - Information : 01 71 86 63 40

Meeting point : Grand parc of Saint-Ouen (at the level of the educational greenhouse, entrance at n°8/10 of the rue de la Clef des champs).

Night of the stars at the Cité des sciences - Paris

Friday, August 5, 2022 between 9pm and 1am (free)

    Come and observe the sky
    small conferences on : Mars Mission (BD) - Discovering the Exoplanets (FP)
    Learn how to create a map to find your way in order to observe the sky and its constellations.

Meet at the north circle meadow, behind the Geode.

Starry night in Parisian parks

Animators of the French Association of Astronomy will be present during these nights to accompany you in your knowledge of the Milky Way and loan you telescopes, glasses and the needed equipment. 

On the same theme: the Rencontres du ciel - astronomy fair every two years at the Cité des Sciences de Paris.
