Rappelle-toi Barbara! Exhibition held at the National Archives

Date From to from 09:00 to 16:45
Rappelle-toi Barbara ! Exposition aux Archives nationales

Exhibition held in the National Archives in Pierrefitte - forty-one videos and photographs of women who lived through the Second World War.

Rappelle-toi Barbara brings to light the fate of women of different nationalities, of different social backgrounds through videos and photos. All these women talk about their memories. They were at that time between 5 and 30 years old. In these testimonies, produced by Maureen Ragoucy, we can see and hear the vision of these women, the different approaches they have from one country to another and how difficult it is or not to talk about those times.

In addition to these testimonies you can also listen to the voices of other women (known or unknown) thanks to sound and audiovisual medias conserved at the National Archives. Take a seat and listen!

The exhibition is presented by Maureen Ragoucy (photographic documentaries and videos, project author), Martine Sin Blima-Barru (Electronic archives and Audiovisual archives, under her scientific direction), Sandrine Gill (Audio visual archives).

Visits are free, but you can opt for guided tours (only in french!).

Closed on Sundays and  November 1st  2018.
