It is THE neighbourhood for music lovers : they can listen to all kinds of music in many concert halls : Philharmonie de Paris, Cité de la Musique, Zenith, Trabendo, Cabaret sauvage…Several music festivals and concerts are organised in Parc de La Villette and in the Grande Halle. They are many nice bars, bistros and restaurants in this area, especially around the Bassin de La Villette. Parc de la Villette as well as the Bassin de la Villette offer many opportunities for play and recreational activities for children.

This neighbourhood is located in the 19th district of Paris stretching from Bassin de la Villette to Parc de la Villette. Pantin (Ourcq canal) and Aubervilliers (Quatre Chemins) are located in immediate vicinity of La Villette.

Bassin de la Villette offers many leisure activities : cruises on the bassin de la Villette, canal de l’Ourcq and Canal Saint-Martin, electric boat rental, cinemas, relaxing on the canal banks or Paris first outdoor swimming spot in summer. It is also a favorite place for street artists.

Parc de la Villette offers many recreational and cultural activities. It is one of the largest urban parks in Paris. The Grande Halle, the Philharmonie, Cité de la musique, Cité des sciences and the Geode, located in this park, welcome a large number of visitors. This park is frequented in all seasons by families, runners, bikers and Pokemon hunters ... It is possible to cross through the park on excursion boats or rented electric boats on the Canal de l’Ourcq. These electric boats sail from Bassin de la Villette in direction of Pantin, Bobigny or further up Canal de l’Ourcq.

You can sail for a few hours on board excursion boats along canal de l’Ourcq or canal Saint-Martin. You can also rent electric boats to sail on canal de l’Ourcq.

Parc de la Villette is a nice place to relax, picnic, run, cycle, play football with friends, hunt Pokemon or simply to let your children enjoy the playgrounds.
