The Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie inaugurates a new permanent exhibition, Mission Spatiale. This first exhibition dedicated to the conquest of space at the Cité des Sciences is open to visitors aged 8 and over.
It's a real invitation to travel through time and space, as we look back not only on the imaginary world of space developed since the late 19th century, but also on the history of space.century, through literature, cinema, TV series and comic strips, but also on the politics of space conquest and exploration. The Space Mission exhibition immerses visitors in the world of space today and tomorrow, inviting them to step into the shoes of a spaceman for a visit.
The exhibition is divided into 5 sections: explore, travel, transit, stay and question, providing an overview of current research, technologies and thinking on space missions.
A series of conferences is planned from October 21 to December 16, 2023 on the theme of "Humans in Space", including a participatory session in which visitors become the heroes.
