The Christmas Cup in Paris is a festive cold-water swimming event organized by Paris Swims - Openswimstars. The club is reviving this open-water swimming event, which was held in Paris every December 25 from 1906 to 1945. The event has inspired similar events in France and abroad. Don't miss its grand return!
The Christmas Cup is an event designed for fun and to introduce participants to cold-water swimming. As such, it is not timed, and there are no rankings based on time.
A panel of judges will be on hand to rank the best costumes.
This 100-meter race can be swum individually or as a team, but you can get out of the water early if needed. The only requirement: swimmers must wear a costume or outfit that includes at least one element reminiscent of the Christmas season (e.g., a Santa hat or any other hat).
If you're not swimming, come cheer them on!
The Christmas Cup starts at the Bassin de La Villette in Paris.
Refreshments to warm up the swimmers will be provided: tea, coffee, or hot chocolate + photos
