The older ones will remember great evenings spent with the athletic star in CA Montreuil, Michel Jazy (a former French middle-distance and long-distance runner). The success of the handball players in Gagny, those night-time matches at Bauer Stadium in Saint-Ouen with the Red Star, the Dorigo brothers basketball players and their club Alsace de Bagnolet…

Closer to us, and to continue evoking famous siblings, the performances of Tiozzo (boxing), Guénot (wrestling) are still in all our memories, as is the woman’s 4 x 100m relay race, world champions 2003 in Saint-Denis. The four French winners started out in the Seine Saint Denis department.

Some young champions from Seine-Saint-Denis were present for the London 2012 Olympic games. Many athletes, talented coaches, champions, famous sports fields, tracks, halls and swimming pools, have become legendary in the history of sports and the legendary jewel of the whole is the famous stadium: Stade de France.
