A 100 km bicycle trip from London to Paris!
This green cycle path “Avenue verte” is a cycling route that links Paris to London and back again. Travel through a mosaic of different landscapes: castles, cathedrals and remarkable villages across Normandy and Paris region “Île-de-France”. This cycle path was inaugurated during the Olympics games in London in 2012. It allows you to travel through France and England in a green and original way. Seine-Saint-Denis and Saint-Denis canal are part of this route that goes from Paris to London and back again.
The path starts at Bassin de La Villette in Paris and goes through parc de La Villette where visitors can enjoy activities around culture and sport in the different facilities: la Géode, la Cité de la Musique, la Cité de la Science...
Your bicycle ride continues in direction of Stade de France and Saint-Denis Basilica along Saint-Denis Canal. Not far from the basilica you can find the museum of Art & History that reveals the prestigious past of the town of Saint-Denis. The more courageous among you can continue on until Nanterre, a city in the North West of Paris.
This path between Paris and Saint-Denis is reserved for bicycles for your comfort and security for individuals and families. The route between Paris and Saint-Denis is 12.6 km long through shared paths (essentially inside Paris) with paths reserved for bikes. So some areas are essentially more difficult to cross.
