The Espace Michel Simon, anchored in the heart of Noisy-le-Grand, is considered one of the leading centers of artistic expression and exchange in eastern Paris.
A place of life, exchange and culture since its creation, the Espace Michel-Simon, a municipal theater, houses a 732-seat auditorium, a 200-seat second auditorium, aception and exhibition space of 800m2, rehearsal rooms, a 2600m2 media library (activities for young audiences : café littéraire, storytelling sessions, ciné-club, exhibitions.) and a fast-food area. This 6,000m2 complex, whose birth Jean Marais agreed to sponsor by dedicating an original work of art, the sculpture of Michel Simon, was inaugurated on February 25, 1989.
The Espace Michel Simon's ambition is to forge close links between artists and audiences, offering a dense and diversified program of theater and circus performances, classical concerts, concerts by singers from all over the world, comedy shows and exhibitions.
Cultural action and mediation accompany certain shows, to prepare for or extend the performances. We offer a range of activities, including "bords de scène", master classes, participatory workshops and family workshops.
Family events, jazz scenes, etc. are held throughout the year for the general public.
Marionnetik(s), a puppet and object theater festival, takes place every year in February (rod, string, girdle or litter puppets, object, paper or shadow theater, etc.).
There are also free exhibitions every year.
