A place of cultural exchange since its creation, Espace Michel-Simon anchored in Noisy-le-Grand municipal theatre, houses a concert hall with 724 places, the Arletty hall, an auditorium, a reception hall and an exhibition space measuring 800 sq.m2, the Jean-Marais hall, as well as a multimedia library with its 2,600m2 (numerous activities for the young : a literary café, storytelling sessions, cinema-club, exhibitions...) and a bar-restaurant. This 6000 sq.m2 complex which Jean Marais agreed to sponsor on its creation by dedicating an original work of art, a sculpture by Michel Simon, was opened on 25th February 1989.
Espace Michel Simon aims to forge close links between artists and audiences by offering a rich and diverse programme through theater and circus, classical concerts or singers from all over the world, humourists, exhibitions and also the possibility to help contemporary creations. Each month, small jazz sessions invite swing enthusiasts to the “cafés des arts” to discover jazz in all its forms, version cabaret around a drink or meal.
In spring, the festival Les chemins de traverse focuses on creation mixing all kinds of indoor or outdoor shows to the delight of all..
