Settled in Paris in 2012, Levalet, an art teacher during the day, discovered a passion for urban collage. Inspired by the burlesque black and white cinema and Méliès, he stages characters in black or white on the streets of Paris.
These life-size figures, painted with Indian ink on white kraft paper are pasted on the walls of Paris according to the different situations: trompe-l’½il, illusions, mises en abime of the image, his artwork and hyperrealism take us by surprise.
His work is poetic and captures the attention of the passer-by just like a mirror effect that questions the mobility of the body and occupation of space.
