Situated in the heart of Parc de la Villette, between Canal de l'Ourcq, Cité des Sciences, la Géode and a few meters from the Grande Halle de la Villette, Cabaret Sauvage is a unique place. Created by Méziane Azaïche, passionate about music and cabaret, who first saw his dream come true in 1994 after setting up a temporary marquee for several months, and then in 1997 when he set up le Cabaret Sauvage in its present and final form.
The Cabaret is both a concert hall and a marquee tent, its construction was inspired by “Magic Mirror”, it can accommodate about 1 200 people standing. A warm and welcoming place, made of wood, red velvet, and bevelled mirrors, you can be spectator or dancer as the tables and benches are installed all around the hall with a dance floor in its center..
Cabaret Sauvage presents a rich and diversified programme all year round, mixing different types of shows: dance, music, theater or concerts and also featuring different styles of music: world, song, electro-techno, reggae, jazz/ funk, rock, hip-hop and welcomes artists from all over the world. The cabaret is involved in most events organized by Parc de la Villette such as "Jazz à la Villette festival" in September and it organizes its own events too, among which you can enjoy Les Folles nuits berbères at the beginning of autumn.
