In 2021, the Fonds régional d'art contemporain (frac) Ile-de-France has inaugurated a new location for its reserves in Seine-Saint-Denis. The new 2,000-square-meter building is located in Romainville, in the creative and cultural district of Ourcq, on the former industrial wasteland converted into a contemporary art center by the Fiminco Foundation.
After a year's work transfer and installation, the FRAC in Romainville opens on June 23, 2022 with its first exhibition "Sors de ta réserve #1". The exhibition is open to the public from Wednesday to Saturday, 2pm to 7pm (closed in August). Admission is free.
The frac Ile-de-France is present on three sites:
In this way, the frac is not only active in Paris, but also at the heart of the Ile-de-France region.
The Romainville site has more than just a storage function. Nearly a quarter of the building is open to the public, enabling us to offer mediation activities focusing on works of art and the professions involved in conservation, restoration and distribution.
Official opening in May 2021 with the exhibition Children Power
