The Basilica of Saint Denis is said to mark the birth of Gothic architecture which was afterward adopted in the rest of the western world. The visit of the Royal Basilica consists of major monument of Gothic art, the royal tombs from the Merovingian’s to the Bourbon royalties, the stained-glass windows. Of course you can combine a visit to the French fifa 1998 stadium the Stade de France. If ever you are travelling by car, you can leave it in the hotel free car park as it is very difficult to park around the stadium.
