The League of Legends World Championship (Worlds) is the most eagerly awaited and prestigious annual e-sport event for fans and players of League of Legends (LoL). Organized by Riot Games, the game's developer and publisher, this international tournament brings together the best professional teams from the various regional leagues, who compete for the coveted title of World Champion.
The knockout stage is the highlight of the Worlds. The eight qualified teams compete in best-of-five matches, with the first team to win three games advancing to the next round. The quarter-finals, semi-finals and final are played in this format, offering intense, thrilling matches!
Each year, Riot Games unveils exclusive new skins for the game's champions, inspired by the participating teams and host cities. The games kick off on September 25 in Berlin's Riot Games Arena, with the final in London's O2 Arena on November 2, 2024.
