The summer exhibition Simulacres at Les Magasins Généraux runs from June 25 to September 27, 2026.
This group exhibition features works by artists who blur the boundaries between reality and appearances. From traditional craftsmanship to the most advanced technologies, the Simulacres exhibition reveals the strategies of mimicry, illusion, and simulation that have shaped the recent history of artistic creation. Through hyperrealism, perceptual games, digital simulacra, and images generated by artificial intelligence, it questions our ability to distinguish the real from the fake.
Between fascination, vertigo, and critical thinking, Simulacres deciphers the shifts in perception in an era where images are becoming increasingly indistinguishable, where the false and the illusory are no longer the exception but a norm to be understood and outwitted.
Opening night on June 24, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
