The Bobigny Deportation Station Memorial is hosting a temporary exhibition of photographs by Karine Sicard Bouvatier, from the project and book Déportés. Their ultimate transmission.
Karine Sicard Bouvatier's photographs immortalize encounters between Holocaust survivors and young people of the same age as when they were deported from the Bobigny train station. These encounters illustrate the transmission of memory. The photographs are accompanied by testimonials from the survivors.
The exhibition, housed in the memorial's goods hall, is open to the public Tuesday to Sunday, 9.30am to 12pm and 2pm to 5pm. Guided tours are organized on certain Saturdays and during the European Heritage Days.
The book Déportés. Leur ultime transmission, published in 2021, is available from Editions de La Martinière. It has already been the subject of several exhibitions.
