Tremblay-en-France'sThéâtre Louis Aragon, a nationally-renowned stage for art and creation - dance, is a 430-seat venue with a multi-disciplinary program including theater, dance, circus, comedy and music.
Like its "Territoire(s) de la danse" associate artist program, which pioneered all possible forms of sharing and interaction in 2008, the TLA's project extends far beyond the edge of the stage. More than a theater, this is a place inhabited by others, other faces, other uses... A true community in motion!
Every September, the Théâtre Louis Aragon opens its cultural season with a free, open-air event, 3D Danse Dehors Dedans. A stroll through the region with free dance performances, in the heart of the Parc forestier de la Poudrerie, at the TLA and its surroundings. The theater offers "La belle scène Saint-Denis" every July in Avignon, with a 100% dance program by its associate artists.
Associated choreographic artists punctuate the "Territoire(s) de la danse" season. Since 2008, the Théâtre Louis Aragon has been able to host, co-produce and develop artists' territorial action projects, off-site events and artistic workshops in close proximity to local residents, in numerous schools, associations, conservatories... and with all kinds of audiences.
Each year, three companies are invited "in residence" to share their daily lives through their creative work, the presentation of their shows, and the transmission of their artistic approaches: each one proposes a long-term project in close collaboration with local residents, and with the resources of the various spaces.
It's also a place for the public, with a café, a reception area and a team ready to listen. The Boris Vian media library in Tremblay-en-France is next door. Accessible rates / Free parking.
Seine-Saint-Denis offers a wide range of dance performances, so don't delay in discovering them.
