Discover the secrets of aerial flight with the Flight exhibition at the Musée de l'Air et de l'Espace at Le Bourget. From flying animals to aircraft, the exhibition traces the evolution of flight and explores the prowess of flying creatures and objects, and the pioneers of aviation.
The Flight exhibition shows the diversity of creatures (birds, bats, insects...) and flying machines (planes, helicopters, drones...) and their ability to soar through the air. The similarities and differences between the animal world and aeronautics are examined through the lens of the scientific, biological and technological principles that govern the phenomenon of flight. Flight reveals why the peregrine falcon, the hummingbird and the Andean condor inspired their mechanical equivalents, such as the Rafale and Concorde...
Naturalized animals, aircraft models, fossils, a reproduction of a feathered dinosaur and archival documents are all on display to retrace the history of flight and its evolution. The exhibition includes interactive features, animated films and multimedia games...
The Flight exhibition is co-produced in partnership with the Royal Institute of Natural Sciences in Brussels, Belgium, the Universum® in Bremen, Germany, and the Parque de las Ciencias in Granada, Spain.
