The end of the Shoah. Surviving, bearing witness, judging

Date From to
La fin de la Shoah. Survivre, témoigner, juger

The exhibition The End of the Shoah. Surviving, Witnessing, Judging at the Shoah Memorial in Drancy retraces a pivotal moment in history: the liberation of the camps by the Allies (USA, UK, France, USSR), the return of the deportees and the challenges of reconstruction. It also reveals how the world gradually came to appreciate the horror of the Nazi camps and the urgent need to bring those responsible to justice.

Through survivor accounts, diary extracts, photographic archives, maps and glossaries, the exhibition offers a poignant and well-documented insight. It is a major resource for the 2025-2026 National Resistance and Deportation Competition.
