Workshops, graffiti demonstrations and dj sets will take place throughout February at the Galerie Amarrage.
Chimères et autres politesses, presents the last creations by the artists from the collective 1980: flashy cats by Chanoir, free and raw artworks by API, Youcef Bennaceur photographs, hybrid creations by Edmond Li, graphic works by Mathias Matis…
The 1980 collective began in Barcelona and spread to Paris, London and other cities. The name of the collective reveals a certain nostalgia and a love for pop culture and street art. The 1980 collective is specialized in « bad painting », a trend born in the 70’s in reaction to intellectual art and proposes a style both willingly neglected and dirty.
Public opening on 3rd February 2022 from 6 pm with the artists and organisers of the Graffart association that runs the gallery. The exhibition is on everyday from 2 pm to 7 pm.
