A Look Back at an Exhibition at the Cité des Sciences 10 Years Later: Dogs and Cats. A really enjoyable temporary exhibition at the Cité des Sciences to help us understand our four-legged friends!
The new version of the Dogs and Cats exhibition has been extended through August 30, 2026.
During this dynamic exhibition, step into the shoes of your favorite pet. Throughout the exhibition, immerse yourself in the new interactive experiences designed to help you understand and see the world through their eyes. Learn about their language, behavior, and how they interact in society.
Enjoy the hands-on activities and games to play with family and friends.
Of course, the 2026 exhibition has been revamped with new hands-on activities, new information, and a new exhibition design.
An exhibition conceived and produced by the Cité des sciences et de l’industrie and the Adrienne and Pierre Sommer Foundation, the main sponsor
In Their Paws explores the morphology of cats and dogs, their physical characteristics, and explains the development of breeds and their wide morphological diversity. Activities include an agility test via a slalom course, a balance test, and imitating a feline’s leap, among others.
In Their Heads explores ethology and explains how animals perceive their environment and interact with it. It helps visitors understand their communication?whether olfactory, tactile, auditory, visual, or postural?and the interactive activities debunk many common misconceptions.
In our societies, we discuss the relationship between animals and our culture, human responsibility toward animals, and the well-being of your dog and/or cat.
Some examples of sensory activities: experience a scene through the sensory perceptions of a dog or cat. See how you measure up against dogs and cats...
