Discover Bartabas’s 2026 production, Tombeau pour un cheval d’orgueil (A Tomb for a Proud Horse), a tribute to his equine companion Tzar, for a final run at the Théâtre Zingaro in Aubervilliers.
Violinist Lucile Boulanger accompanies this exceptional conversation between a man and his horse. The show aims to reveal the intimate bond that has developed over the course of a decade between two beings.
Bartabas' latest creation, a true equestrian and musical meditation, will be punctuated by texts drawn from D’un cheval l’autre and poems from Dehors la nuit (to be published in February 2027 by Gallimard), alternating with pieces by Jean de Sainte-Colombe, Marin Marais, Nicolas Hotman, and Philippe Hersant, in the tradition of the tombeau music composed as a tribute to a loved one.
Performances run from October 2 to December 31, 2026, Wednesdays through Saturdays at 7:30 PM and Sundays at 5:30 PM (ages 7 and up).
