The Yves Robert youth hostel occupies part of Halle Pajol. Located beneath a former SNCF warehouse, the youth hostel with its wooden facades opens onto a unique green space, combining a covered garden, a shared garden and aquatic plant ponds.
The location of this youth hostel , in the 18th arrondissement of Paris, between the Paris-Nord train station and the Montmartre district, makes it an ideal base for visiting the capital's major sites.
It has 330 beds in 103 rooms, a self-service restaurant seating over 100, a bar and evening events. Rooms are equipped with one, two, three, four, five or six beds, individual lockers, water point and shower.
Located in one of Paris' most representative eco-neighborhoods in terms of sustainable development, the Yves Robert Youth Hostel is a 100% sustainable development project. Halle Pajol houses a large photovoltaic solar power plant on its roof. This BBC positive-energy building produces more energy than it consumes. The 150m2 of thermal solar panels cover the hot water needs of the youth hostel. Significant energy savings are achieved thanks to new technologies and technical innovations such as the powerpipe system, double-flow ventilation and the Canadian well. Rainwater is recovered for watering the covered garden's green spaces.
