
Every Sunday from 4th July to 6 September 2026, Come and Swim in the Canal Saint-Martin for free.
Swimming hours at the Canal Saint-Martin: Wednesdays from 12:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Sundays from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
In addition to swimming at the Bassin de La Villette, you can swim in the Canal Saint-Martin which is free for every Sunday this summer.
Come and cool off in the heart of Paris in the 10th arrondissement, opposite the Espace Jemmapes and the Jardin Villemin. Changing rooms and compulsory showers are available inside the Jemmapes sports centre (please note that there are no lockers).
The swimming area is approximately 100m long and is supervised. It is accessible from a pontoon located at 116 Quai de Jemmapes. A solarium with deckchairs is available.
For your safety, the locks will be closed all afternoon. The Mairie de Paris and the Agence Régionale de Santé d'Ile-de-France will be carrying out regular water quality checks. Swimming may be closed in the event of poor water quality or thunderstorms.
