The Musée Eugène Carrière in Gournay-sur-Marne presents an exhibition on Eugène Carrière's relationship with photography from September 20, 2026 to March 21, 2027.
The exhibition features family photographs taken between 1900 and 1904.The Photographic Universe of Eugène Carrière is a journey that highlights the painter's early interest in the new medium of photography.
The exhibition also shows how his aesthetic of the Blurred or Unfinished met the research of photographers of his time, such as Robert Demachy, Stephen Haweis, Emile Frechon and Edward Steichen.
The Musée Eugène Carrière opens on Sundays from 3pm to 6pm. Guided tours are organized every Sunday at 3:30pm. Admission: 8 euros, free for children under 12. Group tours by prior arrangement.
