The galery Gagosian Paris - Le Bourget hosts an exhibition composed of four monumental paintings by Anselm Kiefer.
The name of the exhibition refers to the peace meeting in the North of France in 1520 between the two kings Henry VIII & François 1st. This encounteer, that should have rated the peace between France and England, constitutes the premises of european geopolitics.
The paintings shown have been realised before the COVID-19 epidemic. However they find and echo with this event that is deeply changing the international exchanges and relationships. Those landscapes almost in full-scale recall a continuum fractured by conflicts and changings relations between people.
This serial reminds the Morgenthau Plan serial of 2012, exposed for the opening of the art galery Gagosian. Anselm Kiefer accumulates material on its webs, adding a few dimensions with vegetal and industrial elements.
The exhibition is opened from thursday to sunday, from 11 am to 7pm. We advice you to book your visit.
Don't miss the collective exhibition 30 years in Paris that celebrates the anniversary of Thaddaeus Ropac intallation in Paris and completed the contemporary art offer in northeastern Paris.
