Saint-Denis Pleyel station—the future hub of the Grand Paris Express—is a station that will open on June 24, 2024, with the extended Line 14 connecting the city of Saint-Denis to Paris Orly Airport via Paris.
From the station, you can take the RER D over the FUP bridge, or take the metro line 13 to Carrefour Pleyel and get off at Basilique. A short walk will take you to the Stade de France and the Olympic swimming pool (CAO) in Saint-Denis. The 300-meter-wide bridge is called "Le Franchissement Urbain Pleyel" - it crosses over the 48 railroad tracks.
The station is located near the Pleyel district and the H4 Tower, which has been transformed into a luxury hotel of almost 40 storeys. Line 14 is fully automated and therefore driverless, and operates on strike days.
The 30-kilometer-long metro line from Saint-Denis Pleyel station to the airport takes around 40 minutes. A special fare will be charged to Orly airport, which will drop you off at the bus station serving Orly 1, Orly 2 and Orly 3 terminals.
Extended line 14 crosses the Ile de France from north to south, stopping at Gare de Lyon, Châtelet and Saint-Lazare stations, but even more so at Bibliothèque François Mitterrand, Hôpital Bicêtre to the south and Paris Porte de Clichy, Saint-Ouen to the north.
Bus lines 139 and 255 from the "Docteur Finot" station (bus located on Boulevard Ornano) take you to Carrefour Pleyel in 5 minutes (10-minute walk).
The next metro lines to stop at this station are line 16 and line 17, both of which will open in two phases - part in 2026 and part in 2028.
Line 15 Nord should be operational in 2031.
Saint-Denis Pleyel is a station designed by architect Kengo Kuma, made of glass and wood that rises to a height of 35 meters and has 4 basement levels, a shaft of light. Over 45 meters of frescoes by Sergio Sanchez decorate the platforms of line 14.
A number of shops and a cultural facility (Imagine Pleyel) will be installed - all overlooking a rooftop garden.
