The Cité des sciences et de l'industrie invites you to a temporary exhibition on Industrial Evolutions, the exhibition is opened to everyone above 14 years old and will run until the 5th of march 2023.
Far from the preconceived ideas about the "Industrial Revolution" in history books, the exhibition leads visitors to reflect on the changes that took place from the 18th century onwards. In the heart of a district marked by industrialization, the exhibition looks at the long evolution, the changes in human activity, innovation and the impact of machines on the daily life of humans to better think about the evolution of today's society. The global and transhistorical approach of the exhibition brings a playful and varied point of view, with both artistic and scientific installations.
How have landscapes been transformed by industrialization? What innovations of yesterday have become everyday objects and what production mechanisms do they hide? How does industrialization transform human activity? What would Karl Marx and Steve Jobs or Elon Musk and René Descartes have to say to each other? In a constant back-and-forth between the past and the future, this exhibition tries to provide food for thought on the major contemporary developments.
A week-long event on the theme of Industry Tomorrow will be held from November 15 to 20, 2022.
