The gallery Thaddaeus Ropac Paris-Pantin will house an exhibition on contemporary sculptures by the Swiss artist Not Vital. The exhibition will take place indoors as well as outdoors. This contemporary art exhibition will allow you to discover the art works by Not Vital which he created in the last 10 years : sculptures, paintings, drawings and installations.
Not Vital explores the themes on nature, animals natural habitat, sculpture and architecture around the leitmotif of nomadic life which have punctuated his artistic and personal life. He uses all types of materials to create his artworks of spectacular dimensions and surprising optical effects.
The exhibition Poles presents the "HEAD" series, giant ceramic sculptures, inspired by Jingdezhen chimneys, the capital of chinese ceramics. Discover also an amazing sculpture, exhibited outdoors, a camel’s pelvis. The series "POLES", sculptures in steel, evokes the landscapes of the artist’s native country with its pylons which are used as beacons on the snowy roads of the mountains in Switzerland.
The exhibition opening ceremony will be held on Sunday 22nd January from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
