The Cité des Sciences in Paris is hosting a temporary exhibition on magic through July 18, 2027.
"Magic, Belief, and Knowledge " is designed as an exhibition-performance that creates a dialogue between magic and cognitive science. The exhibition was developed in collaboration with contemporary magic troupes and shows how magicians use scientific and technical advances to reinvent their craft.
"Magic" explores the link between illusion and perception and examines our relationship with reality, and how our brains construct it, through spectacular installations and experiments. Powers, mentalism, apparitions and vanishings, levitation… these acts challenge what we believe, what we see, and what we understand.
The Magic exhibition consists of five sections:
Lectures, workshops, and other activities are organized alongside the exhibition.
The exhibition is presented in French and English.
