For the duration of the Olympic Games,the Parc Valbon in La Courneuve will be a festive and sporting venue! It will be dedicated to the Olympic Games for 14 days between July and August, and 3 days during the Paralympic Games - from July 25 to August 11, 2024, and from September 6 to 8, 2024 (the site will be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays).
The various events will be grouped together near the lake, with an80-metre-high "Skyliner " tower (climb up and admire the view), the "Rocher" area where you can try your hand at climbing and skateboarding, an Arena for team sports, and an area dedicated to concerts. Ten evenings are scheduled, with the park closing at midnight! (names of artists to be announced).
Water sports activities will take place on the lake.
A giant 80m² screen will be set up facing the lake, allowing everyone to follow the day's sporting events from the comfort of deckchairs.
Please note. You will need to register via a ticketing site (which will be online as soon as possible on the Département website ? - pending) to gain entry, even if it's free.
Events kick off in the Parc Valbon with the arrival of the Olympic Flame on July 25, 2024, after touring the towns of Seine-Saint-Denis. The Flame will return to Paris the following day.
The para-marathon on September 8, 2024.
Parc Valbon is a large green space much appreciated by local residents for its setting, its walking trails, its trees... in short, a protected natural environment.
