For the christmas festivities, Centre des Monuments Nationaux (center of national historical monuments) offers varied activities in the biggest monuments of Ile-de-France. Discover the Contes et Histoires program (tales and stories) at the Basilica of Saint-Denis for Christmas Holidays.
Theme of the year: "Tales, lights and colour at the St Denis Basilica"
Dive in a theatralised visit of the Saint Denis Basilica and discover the exhibition: "The refound splendour of Basilica Saint Denis by François Debret romantic architect". You'll find out about the splendid Basilica of Saint-Denis devoted to History, princesses, and crossing continents, for all ages.
Anne de Kiev, du bout du monde tale

Anne is the daughter of a Russian Grand Duke from Kiev. As did her sisters, she is going to marry a king living on the other side of the world: a certain Henri, Kings of the Franks. With the help of her fellow travelers, Anne will have to cross central Europe despite the snow, bears, etc… (40 minutes – no reservation).
Thanks to the help of the plastic artist Raluca Vlad, you'll be able to create your light source of the façade and of the missing tour of the Basilica. After this workshop, you'll be able to go and walk around with your personnalized light-source.
Timetable for children from 4 to 7 years old:
The workshop and visit last about 1h30 (reservation compulsory)

The workshop and visit last 2h (reservation compulsory)
This visit is only proposed on January 5th from 2 pm to 5 pm
Children can visit the basilica, make a crown and enjoy a “galette des rois”.
