Montreuil (Seine-saint-Denis department – 93) gathers several important artists’ studios among the different areas of the city, from Mairie de Montreuil to Croix de Chavaux, by way of Murs à Pêches. Over 800 artists and artisans settled there and 650 of them participate to the open house. Painters, bookbinders, photographers, jewelry creators, artists, etc… present to the visitors their “creative space”, works and savoir-faire.
Various events will take place in the city in the different collective or individual workshops. You can sometimes enter into artists’ houses working at home. Cultural locations of the city of Montreuil also offer activities for the occasion such as the contemporary art center or La Maison Populaire.
Numerous exhibition previews will be held on Friday and Saturday nights in the different workshops and cultural locations. Workshops are open from Friday to Monday, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. (except special cases).
The Centre Tignous (contemporary art), located in 116 rue de Paris, welcomes you from October 13th to October 16th and from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. On site, a book will present you the artists’ works so you can choose which workshop to visit.
